Using this machine with Easel

The MiniMill runs on OpenBuilds' BlackBox Motion Control System X32, which uses grblHAL firmware. Easel's live control, the Easel Driver and Rapid Connect, works with classic GRBL and FluidNC over USB, so it does not carve this machine in real time. Use Easel to design and generate toolpaths, then export the G-code and run it from the machine's own controller, OpenBuilds CONTROL, over USB, WiFi, SD card, or Bluetooth. Because Easel's G-code is standard GRBL, it runs as-is on the grblHAL-based BlackBox. Select MiniMill in Easel's machine menu to size the canvas.

Prefer not to install anything? Rapid Connect lets any GRBL machine, this one included, connect straight from your browser. If you go the driver route, grab it from the downloads page and follow the step-by-step install guide.
